According to First Coast News, Rodriguez was a coach for the boys' soccer team at Fort White High School.

Frisina has family in NY and Rodriguez has family in Canada and possibly Pennsylvania, Murray Smith, public information officer for the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, said. It wasn't immediately clear what criminal charges he would face.

The search for Caitlyn Frisina, a 17-year-old from Fort White, began Sunday morning, when her parents discovered she was missing from their home.

State Police say Rodriguez was familiar with Central New York- the Cicero area in particular.

The two were believed to be headed north, authorities said earlier this week.

According to State Police, Frisina appeared to have gone with Rodriguez willingly.

A missing Florida teenage girl has been found safe, authorities said Friday, almost one week after the teen allegedly left home with a local soccer coach 10 years her senior.

Police asked the public to keep an eye out for the red Mercury Sable, while her mother issued a plea for the teen to return home.

The Gainesville Sun reports that the 17-year-old and Rian Rodriguez were stopped by a New York State Police officer Friday afternoon in Syracuse. One of Caitlyn's friends told Frisina that her daughter had "hooked up" with Rodriguez and he worked his way into her life.

Rodriguez was arrested on a charge of interference in child custody, deputies said.

Frisina and Rodriguez were spotted on cameras in Georgia on Sunday and then at a pawn shop in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Authorities did not release much additional information in statements Friday, though they indicated a news conference Monday will provide updates.
