There are another 400 from across other countries and India as the host country will have 500 delegates. Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Israel are among 10 countries being represented by all-female delegations. She was invited for the summit earlier this year by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his state visit to the US.

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump's visit to Hyderabad on Tuesday, security has been tightened in the city. Ivanka, whose schedule in the city is still kept confidential, will participate in two sessions on Wednesday on "Women Entrepreneurial Leadership" and "Innovations on Workforce development and skills training". "It is also critical for worldwide relations for prosperity and freedom of trade", said Juster, on the importance of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), which begins in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Eminent panelists such as Union defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Chanda Kochhar, MD and CEO ICICI Bank, Karen Quintos, CCO, Dell and Cherie Blair, of Cherie Blair Foundation for Women will also take part in these discussions along with Ivanka.

Newly-crowned Miss World Manushi Chhillar, and actors Sonam Kapoor and Aditi Rao Hydari will add glamour to the event. This GES will focus on developing startups belonging to these four sectors across the globe namely: healthcare and life sciences, digital economy and financial technology, energy and infrastructure and media and entertainment.

GES, a personal initiative of former US President Barack Obama to bring entrepreneurs from across the globe on one platform, made a beginning in 2010 in Washington and thereafter it has been hosted by Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Morocco and Kenya.

This year's summit theme demonstrates the commitment of the USA and Indian governments to the principle that when women are economically empowered, their communities and countries thrive, said Kant.

In 2016, Silicon Valley hosted the GES. "It is a platform to help entrepreneurs to have exposure to businesses and markets", said Kenneth I Juster, the US Ambassador to India, clarifying that the summit does not have investments and visa issues on its agenda for discussion".

GES will highlight India's enabling environment for innovation and entrepreneurship - including actions by the government to increase the ease of doing business, eliminating unnecessary regulations and supporting startups. "The economic reform process will obviously increase American investments in India", he said.
